Bergli hut SAC
The Bergli Hut was the first hut in the Jungfrau region to be built "behind" the Eiger in 1869. It was the most important base for summit tours on the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. With the opening of the Jungfraujoch railway station in 1912 and the construction of the Mönchsjochhütte in 1978, the Berglihütte lost its importance, but has been maintained to this day. It is a living testimony to the early days of high-alpine tourism. This is what makes this spectacularly situated alpine accommodation so appealing, a cultural asset, many call it a jewel.
