Grindelwald-First ski area
Sunny slopes, impressive mountain views and a wide range of winter experiences: the Grindelwald-First ski area offers ideal conditions for an unforgettable day in the snow.
The First mountain station at 2,166 metres above sea level can be reached from Grindelwald in around 25 minutes by gondola.
With a total of 56 kilometres of slopes, both leisurely and sporty skiers will find plenty to enjoy. Freestyle fans can look forward to a 100-metre halfpipe as well as various lines with kickers, rails and other features in the Grindelwald-First Snowpark. A skicross course at the Schilt ski lift provides even more variety.
A special highlight is the Big Pintenfritz, one of the longest toboggan runs in Europe. From First, a winter hike of around two and a half hours leads up to the Faulhorn. From there, the approximately 15-kilometre toboggan run descends via Bussalp back towards Grindelwald.
For an extra dose of adrenaline, try the First Flyer and First Glider, reaching speeds of up to 84 km/h through the mountain air. Both experiences are included in the Jungfrau Ski Season Pass and in ski passes from 1 day onwards.
Lilys Fun Slope offers plenty of fun for children. Waves, dips, banked turns and various Lily figures provide variety and help young skiers improve their skills in a playful way.
Around 40 kilometres of winter hiking and tobogganing trails invite you to discover the region away from the ski slopes as well.
