Viewing platform with a thrill
On the First Cliff Walk by Tissot, you experience the mountain world from a truly special perspective. The walkway leads along the western side of the First summit and offers impressive views into the valley and across the surrounding rock faces.
A particular highlight is the viewing platform near the mountain restaurant terrace. It extends around 45 metres out into the open and adds an extra touch of excitement. From here, you can enjoy spectacular views over alpine meadows, forests, waterfalls and the Grindelwald mountain landscape.
The rock faces beside the walkway are also worth a closer look. Their ledges and niches are used by alpine choughs as take-off and landing spots. With a little luck, you can watch the birds up close as they circle above the landscape.
