Ski resorts in the Bernese Oberland

With a direct view of the ice giants Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, a unique panorama awaits you in the Grindelwald-Wengen ski area. Energetic winter sports enthusiasts can let off steam on the approximately 103 kilometres of pistes. Due to the predominantly red-marked slopes, the skiing area in the Bernese Oberland has a lot to offer, especially for advanced skiers. Experienced skiers also have the opportunity to race down the world-famous Lauberhorn World Cup run.
Despite all this, beginners are not left out: a long blue run leads from the mountain station over Kleine Scheidegg to Brandegg.

Visitors with a particular thirst for sunshine will get their money's worth in the Grindelwald-First ski area. The sunniest ski area in the Jungfrau Region has 56 kilometres of pistes and is directly connected to the Grindelwald-Wengen ski area. The highlights of this ski area in the Bernese Oberland include the snow park for freestylers, which has routes for both beginners and professionals. As a visitor to Grindelwald-First, you also have to see the skicross course. Pure adrenalin!

Mürren-Schilthorn is the highest skiing area in the Bernese Oberland and it is precisely this mountain that James Bond also skied down - because around 56 years ago the filming of the legendary Bond film "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" took place here.

Both beginners and professionals can prove their skills here on around 50 kilometres of pistes.

In the Meirigen-Hasliberg ski area in the Bernese Oberland, visitors can enjoy around 60 km of pistes of all levels of difficulty. A special feature here is the ski racing centre. It offers a permanent race and training piste for national and regional associations, training groups and ski clubs. However, Meiringen-Hasliberg is not only worth a visit for experienced skiers: in Skihäsliland, beginners can hone their techniques without any problems or stress.

If you need a break from skiing, a visit to the Jungfraujoch in the Bernese Oberland is definitely worth it. You reach the Jungfraujoch - also called the Top of Europe - after a ride on the Jungfrau Railway, which ends at the highest railway station in Europe. A subsequent lift ride takes you to the Sphinx Observatory and its viewing terrace, where you can enjoy a breathtaking Alpine panorama over the UNESCO World Heritage Aletsch Glacier.

The Hasliberg puts everyone in the spotlight - especially on Friday night skiing in the Bernese Oberland.

To avoid accidents, certain rules apply when skiing in the Bernese Oberland. The so-called FIS rules are rules of conduct for all those on the ski slope. These are simple and intuitive rules that in no way affect the fun of skiing on the slopes.
