Lieselotte is finally taking a holiday. For this, the famous cow from a small village in Germany has taken a really long journey. Lieselotte and her friends, the chickens, are therefore pleased to welcome numerous visitors on their theme trail.

Already the journey to Männlichen is a little adventure. From Grindelwald the longest gondola lift in the world takes young and old to the top. From Wengen the «Royal Ride» takes you up the mountain. Lieselotte is already waiting for the guests. Her alpine playground offers many opportunities to let off steam. But beware. The 1.5 hour hike still needs some energy.

There are many exciting things to discover on the hiking trail. Lieselotte and the chickens are amazed. They enjoy the beautiful landscape, the view of the snow-covered mountain peaks and the 13 play stations to the full. With so much fun and games, hiking is particularly enjoyable.

Getting There

Public transport

Thanks to its central location in Europe, Switzerland is served by international trains from over 12 countries. Within Switzerland, Intercity trains run directly from Basel and Lucerne to the Jungfrau Region. Travellers from Zurich have to change in Berne. The trains run every half hour.

Getting there

There are different ways to reach the region by car. The fastest way from Basel and Geneva is via Berne. The fastest route from Zurich is through Lucerne and the Brünig Pass. The pass is open in summer and winter.

From the south, the route goes over the Grimsel or Susten Pass into the region. Both passes are only open in summer. Alternatively, you can take the Simplon Pass and then Lötschberg car transport.

Wengen is car-free and can be reached by cogwheel railway from Lauterbrunnen or on foot. The car can be parked in the Lauterbrunnen multi-storey car park.

The covered multi-storey car park in Lauterbrunnen is located at the entrance to the village near the railway station and offers direct access to the cable cars to Wengen.

Grindelwald has public car parks with covered parking spaces: Eiger+ car park (252 parking spaces) and Sportzentrum car park (160 parking spaces). They cannot be reserved in advance. Uncovered parking spaces are available everywhere in the village.
