Steep, steeper, Direttissima

Slope 9, the “Direttissima”, guarantees an adrenaline rush. With an 88 per cent incline, it is the steepest slope in the Jungfrau Region. Even James Bond has tackled it. This daring downhill starts at Birg station and takes you directly down to Engetal. It goes without saying that only experienced skiers should attempt the Direttissima.

Not confident enough yet to strap on a pair of skis or a snowboard but still looking for an adrenaline rush? Then we suggest giving the Thrill Walk a go. The rock walk is also located at Birg, so you can easily combine it with a day on the slopes in the Mürren-Schilthorn ski area.
