How To Trailrun – Next Level «Preparation for E35 Golden Trail Series»
3818 Grindelwald email@example.com
The "Next Level" series is entering into it’s second round! Long distances and lots of altitude are again part of this year's program. Join us on the breathtaking trails around Grindelwald, and be part of our Trail Running Community! The workshops will be led and supervised by Salomon athletes and ambassadors, sharing their tips, tricks and "know how". Tips on training, nutrition and equipment are guaranteed.
Upon finishing, join us for refreshments at the store! Recharge with drinks and nibbles. A cozy conclusion and exchange among all participants rounds off the experience.
As a bonus, you will get a 20% discount voucher from Salomon on Salomon trail running products. And of course, we will again raffle a running shoe in September among all participants of the series! , Attend at least 1 event to be in the running to win a Salomon S/LAB Pulsar trail running shoe! And we'll go one better: For the Altitude King or Queen of the whole series, the title "Backdoor HTTR Champ" is waiting at the end. This title is of course also associated with a prize!
Requirements: Do you have a starting spot for the E35 at this year’s Eiger Ultra Trail? Or you want to get to know the route and feel up to the challenge? Then we look forward to your registration!
Important: The route may be adapted or changed to suit the conditions on the day.
Equipment: Suitable clothing for the weather and good, off-road running shoes. If you like, bring your poles with you - there are special techniques for using these on the trail sand we will share with you how to use the poles optimally. We also recommend a running backpack with food and a drink. Pack a windbreaker and, depending on the weather forecast, also rainwear!
(Shoes, poles and backpacks can be tested free of charge in the Backdoor Shop)
About the route: The notorious chamois trail up to Männlichen brings a bead or two of sweat to runners' faces. The impressive view down into the Lauterbrunnen Valley from the top is a welcome reward. With the 3 peaks of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau as a constant backdrop now, the trail moves on towards Kleine Scheidegg and the glacier moraine below Eigergletscher, at which point a sharp turn brings you abruptly onto the traverse below the looming Eiger north face. There is truly no better place to experience the glacial winds and ancient limestone facets of the Eiger than here.
Back in the store, we fortify ourselves with a cozy aperitif.
Distance: Ca. 35km/2500m ascent
Special: We take the 9:18 train to Burglauenen from Grindelwald train station (costs to be paid by the participants).
Duration: Approx. 8 hours
