Sweets make people happy, says Herrmann Siegenthaler, patron of a "Zältli" candy factory. His three daughters are supposed to lead the family business into the future - in this respect, Sigi is as unyielding as a "Füürstei". But then Sigi's brother takes up residence in the house and wants money, the capable employee quits and the eldest daughter invites an acquaintance home for a few days. When she turns out to be a therapist, events come to a head. The guest stirs up what has been carefully kept under wraps for years.
